Slick video that shows the importance of running Windows, even well into the future. Funny!
I got it from Kim Komando’s newsletter today.

Paul Thurott’s preview of Microsoft Office 2010
Another great review by Paul Thurott (WinSuperSite.com) with regard to the real Office 2010, not the movie shown here recently.
I agree with all of what he says and especially, “How, exactly, do you improve on a product line that is as mature and full-featured as Office?”
What a hoot! Why doesn’t Redmond put this stuff on TV. I know it is supposed to be for an online ad campaign but this would even put Apple to shame.
BOSTON–Microsoft Corp (MSFT: 22.55, n.a., n.a.%) is getting ready to unveil a long-anticipated free anti-virus service for PCs that will compete with products sold by Symantec Corp (SYMC: 16.45, n.a., n.a.%) and McAfee Inc.
A Microsoft spokesman said Wednesday that the world’s biggest software maker is testing an early version of the product with its own employees. Microsoft would "soon" make a trial version, or product beta, available via its Web site, he added, but declined to provide a specific date.
Symantec shares fell 1.6% in afternoon trading and McAfee fell 1.8%, while Microsoft was…
and I ashamed to say it but it is the Republicans pushing it, read on by clicking the screenshot below:
This says, that everyone has to keep internet histories for two years and yes that includes “…hotels, local coffee shops, and home users, to keep records about users for two years to aid police investigations.”
Translated, the Internet Safety Act applies not just to AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, and so on–but also to the tens of millions of homes with Wi-Fi access points or wired routers that use the standard method of dynamically assigning temporary addresses. (That method is called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP.)
I hope someone stops this junk, oh I guess I shouldn’t be concerned Obama is there to protect us all – yeah right.
First off a definition. TOS-Terms Of Service.
Over the Presidents Day weekend Facebook made a change to its TOS and basically said that if you delete your account your information may still be available. Well, duh, sure it will be. Figure this out whining geniuses that are complaining about this:
I think the real worry about FB should be directed at language that has been in there since before this weekend (I believe).
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change or delete portions of these Terms at any time without further notice. Your continued use of the Facebook Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
OK, they can change anything in their TOS whenever and if you log into FB that
says you accept the changes. Duh (again) you have already accepted the change they made this weekend regardless.
They could basically sell your emails to CNN and there is nothing you could do once you log in.
By-the-way, did any of you people realize out there that FB is free and you signed up for it and not the other way around…go figure that one out.
I hate to come to their aid since I don’t even like FB much but hey wake up world.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST — if you post a comment to this blog I own it until my death or the Rapture, whichever comes first. Muhahahaha!
If you have a few minutes to kill I highly recommend the game of “Double Wires” or the cheap version of Spiderman.
This was the first time I have played in a long, long time so I’m sure you can beat the score by a bunch. Good web slinging and swinging in this one.
OK, I admit it, I got the original from Kim Komando (komando.com) but I couldn’t resist making a few coding changes to make it work a little better.
Make sure you recalibrate your mouse here often to keep it in the best condition possible!
“You should actually do this every year. Even more often is recommended by Kim Komando (the computer guru) if you spend a lot of time on the computer. I was shocked to see how well this works, and how far off mine was!
“To re-calibrate your mouse, click and hold on the “A” below, then drag the “A” toward the “Z”. If it doesn’t work immediately, you might want to clean your mouse, as the calibration is surely off.
A I got you, you’ve wasted time on the internet again. You’ll believe anything! Z
“I’m sure you will also recommend this to all of your friends once you see how much smoother and better your mouse works after being calibrated! Amazing!”
This is a new feature from GMail which you may not have yet. It is supposed to be rolled out to all GMailers in the US & UK in the next couple of days…I don’t have it yet but will on my notebook as soon as I find it.
Here is what they say:
We’re making offline Gmail available to everyone who uses Gmail in US or UK English over the next couple of days, so if you don’t see it under the Labs tab yet, it should be there soon. Once you see it, just follow these steps to get started:
Click Settings and click the Labs tab. Select Enable next to Offline Gmail. Click Save Changes. After your browser reloads, you’ll see a new "Offline0.1" link in the upper right-hand corner of your account, next to your username. Click this link to start the offline set up process and download Gears if you don’t already have it.
