OK, it is old, it is black & white but it is funny and one of the best.

OK one more I’ve never seen before but it was a good one too.  One of the features of YouTube.com, you can’t get away.

Well a couple of weeks ago I posted about all the “worries” about the end of the world on 12/21/12 and how the odds are big time against it in Vegas and everywhere else.

This past weekend we went to see the movie, “2012”, the number one movie of the year (according to the movie’s own site).

I have to say that even though everything is destroyed and we all die, it was a good flick.  OK, some of what I said in the preceding sentence wasn’t quite right, but I can’t give you any spoilers here.

And let’s look at who is in it: Danny Glover, John Cusack, Thandie Newton, how could it go wrong.  Well it could have but it didn’t.

Was it worth the $7 a ticket?  Probably, “yes” for the huge screen view of things coming apart.  I would recommend this one for you to spend the extra $$ on.  The story will be the same on your widescreen TV but not quite as destructive looking.

Here are the REAL odds that the world will end in 2012

Take that, critics: Roland Emmerich’s disaster marathon 2012 is a big hit, opening in first place with an estimated $65 million domestically and $225 million worldwide, easily making back its production costs in just one weekend.

But the real question remains: How likely is it that the REAL world will end in 2012?

Well, the Web sportsbook BetUS.com has posted actual odds on whether the world ends in December ‘12, as some doomsayers would have us believe, based on their interpretation of the Mayan Long Count calendar, among other things.

OK this video is an excellent card trick.  I was an amateur magician many, many moons ago and have never seen anything quite this good.

Yes, it takes almost 5 minutes to watch, but I think it is well worth it…watch and see.  He performs the trick to the words and rhythm of the song “Shape of My Heart” by Sting (not one of my favorite groups, matter of fact I never listen to them) but it works well here.

Being an aquarium owner also, I realize now that I must not perform exercises near it.

Of course, I already don’t perform any exercises; anywhere.

I highly recommend this one…so far at least.  I found this on Hulu.com, since I don’t get the SyFy Channel.  I liked it as it seems to be a combo of, “Indiana Jones”, “National Treasure”, “Moonlighting” (for us older folks) and one of any other cop show over the past 15 years.

You can also get it at the new SyFy.com site but I’m partial to Hulu.
